Gamebooster stops certain processes from running while it is active (like HP printer services, apple streaming services, etc.) When Gamebooster is deactivated, it starts the services back up. I use both on occasion (CPUCores far more often), and I think I can help clear some stuff up concerning Gamebooster. I generally point people to reviews as that gives a good impression of how the software works for the zillions of combinations of PC hardware (cpu/gpu) and particular games and play styles. If the game relies on CPU (vs heavy GPU games) then this is where some nice benefits come in! CPUCores basically will safely limit how much CPU your OS and non-game applications use, and allow your game to have the best case scenario for using CPU on your system.
I essentially built CPUCores for how I would want a software made for when I'm gaming, as well as what my friends would like and be helpful for their systems, and then I tweaked things and released it to the greater public :)Īll that said, CPUCores was meant for 1 thing: Gamers (and more specifically, Steam gamers!). I've never looked into Razer's software so you're best bet is to compile the list of what CPUCores does via the Steam page, the published videos, the screenshots, reviews of users, and compare that against what other software's do.
